Yungay 05 de junio, a las 08:35 una camioneta marca Chevrolet, modelo NKR, patente UT 8402, conducida por Iv\u00e1n Ignacio \u00c1lvarez Osorio, domiciliado en Santiago y que viajaba desde Chill\u00e1n a Yungay, al ingresar a la curva por calle Baquedano a la altura del puente panqueco, pierde el control del veh\u00edculo atropellando a un ciclista, identificado como Anito Silva Valenzuela a la salida del puente mencionado anteriormente en calle \u00e1ngeles con chipana, luego el veh\u00edculo se volc\u00f3. El ciclista fue derivado al hospital de Yungay, para posteriormente ser trasladado en estado de gravedad al Hospital Herminda Martin de Chill\u00e1n. Asistieron a esta emergencia la segunda compa\u00f1\u00eda de Bomberos y Carabineros de nuestra comuna, tambi\u00e9n SIAT de Chill\u00e1n.
